How to Flush your DNS

Clearing DNS Cache on a Mac

  1. Open the Terminal app.
  2. Type "sudo dscacheutil -flushcache" and press Enter.
  3. Type your admin password when prompted and press Enter.
  4. The DNS cache is now cleared.

Clearing DNS Cache on a Windows Computer

  1. Press the Windows key + R to open the Run dialog box.
  2. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.
  3. The DNS cache is now cleared.

Clearing DNS Cache on an Android Phone

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on "Network & internet" and then "Advanced."
  3. Tap on "Private DNS" and then "Turn off."
  4. The DNS cache is now cleared.

Clearing DNS Cache on an Apple Phone

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap on "Wi-Fi" and then the "i" icon next to your connected network.
  3. Tap on "Configure DNS" and then "Automatic."
  4. The DNS cache is now cleared.
