# Roles & Security – Permission Breakdown

The **Roles & Security** settings in OwlOps allow you to control exactly what each user can see, access, and do within the system.

In most cases, the OwlOps team will **initially configure these permissions for you** based on best practices and the most common setups for each role (e.g. Managers, Technicians, Admins). This helps get you up and running quickly with a structure that works well out of the box.

That said, every operation is a little different. If you’d like to fine-tune permissions to better match your workflow, just reach out—we’re happy to review and customize things with you.
