[Homescreen](https://www.owlops.com/knowledge/daily-operations?hsLang=en#homescreen) # Getting to Know the New OwlOps Homescreen ## A quick tour of the new layout, so you can find your tasks and focus on the work that matters to you. The new OwlOps homescreen gives you a cleaner, more customizable way to see your tasks, find what you need, and focus on the work that matters to you. Here's a walkthrough of the new layout. ### How the Homescreen is Organized The homescreen is made up of five main areas: 1. **Location Picker** – Choose which location or department you want to view. 2. **Stat Cards** – Quickly see counts for important groups of tasks. 3. **Task Views** – Jump between All Tasks, My Task List, Tasks I Created, Flagged, Approvals, and any custom views available to you. 4. **Filters** – Search and narrow your task list by status, priority, assigned user, category and more. 5. **Task List** – View and work through your tasks using either Card View or List View. ![The OwlOps homescreen with five numbered areas: 1 the location picker, 2 the stat cards, 3 the orange task views bar, 4 the filter bar and 5 the task list with a task selected in the right pane](https://www.owlops.com/hs-fs/hubfs/01-homescreen-overview.png?width=670&height=363&name=01-homescreen-overview.png) ### Location Picker Use the dropdown in the top left corner to choose the **location or department** you want to work from. ![The location picker in the top left corner showing All Departments](https://www.owlops.com/hs-fs/hubfs/02-location-picker.png?width=670&height=63&name=02-location-picker.png) Everything below it updates based on your selection, including your task counts and task list. Your selection is also remembered the next time you visit. ### Stat Cards The cards across the top give you a quick snapshot of your tasks. ![The stat cards Open Tasks, Assigned to Me, Created by Me, Flagged and Equipment, with the Manage button on the right](https://www.owlops.com/hs-fs/hubfs/03-stat-cards.png?width=670&height=39&name=03-stat-cards.png) Depending on your setup, you may see cards for things like **Open Tasks, Assigned to Me, Created by Me, Flagged,** or **On Hold**. Clicking a card quickly filters your task list to show those tasks. Use **Manage** to choose which stat cards you want displayed and arrange them in the order that works best for you. To learn how, see [Managing Homescreen Views](https://www.owlops.com/knowledge/managing-homescreen-views?hsLang=en). ### Task Views The orange bar contains your different **Task Views**. ![The orange task views bar with a custom view, Demo - High Priority Tasks, selected and the gear icon on the right](https://www.owlops.com/hs-fs/hubfs/04-task-views-bar-1.png?width=670&height=22&name=04-task-views-bar-1.png) Everyone starts with views such as: - **All Tasks** – All open tasks you have access to - **My Task List** – Open tasks assigned to you - **Tasks I Created** – Open tasks you created - **Flagged** – Tasks you've flagged - **Approvals** – Tasks waiting for your approval, if applicable You may also see additional custom views that you or your organization have created. Use the **gear icon** at the right end of the bar to hide, reorder or choose your default view. See [Managing Homescreen Views](https://www.owlops.com/knowledge/managing-homescreen-views?hsLang=en) for details. ### Search & Filters Use the filter bar to quickly narrow down your task list. You can **Search** for a task or filter by **Status** and **Priority** right from the homescreen. Need to get more specific? Your tasks appear on the left. Select a task and its details and complete history appear on the right, allowing you to review updates without leaving the homescreen.
